STAINED GLASS

In this once-weekly program kids middle school through high school will jump into the exciting world of glass, light, color, problem solving and making! Each Student will focus on learning to make a stained glass pencil cup (or use it for whatever you like dried flowers, feathers, etc.)! Students will learn the copper foil stained glass technique through demonstration and hands on practice of glass cutting, grinding, and foiling as well as learning to solder and patina. Not only will your student get to practice these skill but they will get to work on questions of aesthetic and design as they choose their color and texture pallets. There will be multiple designs available to suite the age and skill capability of each student.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
- In this once-weekly program kids middle school through high school will the wonders of sculpting, mold making, and the cast glass process! Students will experiment with using clay to make low relief tiles and sculptures which will be translated through a multi step mold making process into glass. Through this process students will delve into spacial problem solving, design, color and aesthetics, order of operations, and have fun making messes and being creative! Students will complete multiple castings over the course of their 5 session class.

  - Please note, the studio is closed October 26th for a family wedding.
