Stern Glass Works Studio Policies & Terms of Service

Welcome to Stern Glass Works! By enrolling in a class or membership at our studio ("the Studio"), you agree to the following terms and conditions for yourself or on behalf of your participating child.

A. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability

  1. Inherent Risks: You acknowledge that working with glass and related studio equipment involves inherent risks, including but not limited to cuts, burns, and exposure to chemicals or dust. Your participation in any studio activity is voluntary.

  2. Health & Safety: It is your responsibility to consult a physician regarding any past or present injury, illness, or health condition that may affect your (or your child's) ability to participate safely. Please inform your instructor of any relevant conditions before class begins.

  3. Waiver of Liability: You knowingly assume all risks associated with studio participation and accept full responsibility for any personal injury that may result. You agree to release and hold harmless Stern Glass Works, LLC, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, causes of action, or liability for damages arising from your (or your child's) participation in studio activities.

B. Class & Workshop Refund Policy

To ensure we can properly prepare for our classes, we adhere to the following refund policy:

  • Full Refund: A full refund will be issued if:

    • You cancel your registration at least 7 days prior to the scheduled class start date.

    • The Studio cancels the class or workshop for any reason.

  • Partial Refund: A partial refund (less a $50 processing fee) will be issued if you cancel your registration within the 7 days leading up to the class start date.

  • No Refund: No refunds will be issued for cancellations made on or after the class start date.

C. Responsibility for Personal Property

Stern Glass Works, LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. This includes, but is not limited to, money, jewelry, electronics, or personal equipment. Please bring valuable items to the studio at your own risk.

D. Photo & Video Release

You grant Stern Glass Works, LLC permission to use photographs, videos, or audio recordings of you or your child, and/or your artwork, for promotional purposes, including our website, social media, and print materials.

  • Participants will not be identified by full name without explicit consent.

  • No financial compensation will be provided for the use of these images or recordings.

  • Want to be tagged? We love celebrating our artists! If you would like to be tagged in our social media posts, please provide your account handles to a staff member.

E. Project & Material Storage Policy

All stored items must be paid for in full before they can be released. We offer the following storage options:

1. Post-Class/Membership Pickup (Unclaimed Items)

You have a 60-day period from your last day of class or membership to collect all personal materials and completed projects.

  • Days 1-14 (Complimentary Grace Period): You may collect your items at no charge.

  • Days 15-60 (Paid Storage): If items are not collected after 14 days, they will be subject to a storage fee of $33.00 per month, billed retroactively from Day 15.

  • After Day 60 (Abandonment): Items not collected after 60 days will be considered abandoned. The Studio reserves the right to dispose of, donate, or absorb abandoned items into studio inventory without further notice or compensation.

2. Optional Long-Term Storage

If you require ongoing storage for your materials and projects, you may elect to pay for our long-term storage service.

  • Fee: $33.00 per month, billed at the beginning of each month.

  • Late Payment: A $10.00 late fee will be applied to your next bill if payment is not received by the due date.

  • Release of Items: Your account must be paid in full before your stored items can be released or before you may enroll in a new class or membership.
