SGW Presents…
In our studio, we use the Gemini Taurus 3 ring saw to make those intricate cuts that seem impossible.
(You might say it’s magic, but we say it’s yet another amazing technique to learn!)
Stern Glass Works Wrapped - 2025
As we reach the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to look at the numbers and milestones that defined our year at Stern Glass Works.
Together we have filled this year with hours of focused glass work, vibrant colors, and incredible community growth.
Here is what 2025 looked like at Stern Glass Works.
The Studio by the Numbers
Our grinders stayed busy and our scrap bins stayed full. Here is a look at the raw materials, tools and energy that went into the craft this year:
11 Glass Grinders: Our grinders worked tirelessly to help our staff, students and members perfectly shape their sheet glass pieces.
83 Pounds of Solder: Students, Members and Staff used 83 lbs of solder to create stunning stained/leaded glass pieces.
94 Kiln Firings: Our kilns were the heartbeat of the studio, running through hundreds of cycles to fuse, slump, and cast your visions.
1,221 Sheets of Glass: From iridescent textures to bold primaries, we brought in a record amount of sheet glass to keep the workbenches stocked.
37 Repairs & Restorations: We took pride in giving new life to family heirlooms and historical pieces, ensuring they remain part of your homes for years to come.
17 Custom Commissions: From architectural windows to personalized gifts, we loved collaborating on one-of-a-kind projects.
457 Pictures of Clementine: on Maia’s phone alone from inside the studio. Mostly posing with happy students or sleeping belly side up!
