MAKE YOUR OWN FUSED GLASS MEZUZAH

  • Join us at Stern Glass Works on Sunday November 13th for the opportunity to learn to make your own glass mezuzah. This fantastic event put on by the Women of Oak Park Temple is open to Women of Oak Park Temple members. Maia Stern, the owner and artist behind Stern Glass Works, will lead us in groups of 9 to learn the fused glass process through the making of unique mezuzot. We will explore ideas of transparency through the layering of sheet glass and other formats of glass such as frit (small chunks of glass), stringer and rod. We will even have the opportunity to experiment with glass enamel to add details such as Hebrew or other symbols. Mezuzot will be suitable for indoor or outdoor display.
