A Week of Creativity, Learning & Glass

This Glass Art Summer Camp is a hands-on creative experience designed for middle school artists entering grades 6–8.

Throughout the week, students will explore the exciting world of glass art through projects inspired by light, color, layering, transparency, pattern, and design. Campers will work with real glass using fused glass techniques, learning how to cut, arrange, layer, and design their own kiln-fired pieces.

Alongside their glass work, students will also experiment with drawing, painting, mixed media, and other art-making processes that connect to the same creative ideas found in glass: how light moves through color, how layers change what we see, and how texture and composition can transform a piece of art.

Each day will include a mix of individual projects, collaborative activities, technical skill-building, and creative exploration. Students will be encouraged to try new materials, make thoughtful design choices, and build confidence in their own artistic voice.

By the end of the week, each camper will leave with a collection of finished glass artwork, new creative skills, and a deeper understanding of the artistic process.
