Stern Glass Works Wrapped - 2025
As we reach the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to look at the numbers and milestones that defined our year at Stern Glass Works.
Together we have filled this year with hours of focused glass work, vibrant colors, and incredible community growth.
Here is what 2025 looked like at Stern Glass Works.
The Studio by the Numbers
Our grinders stayed busy and our scrap bins stayed full. Here is a look at the raw materials, tools and energy that went into the craft this year:
11 Glass Grinders: Our grinders worked tirelessly to help our staff, students and members perfectly shape their sheet glass pieces.
[Number] Kiln Firings: Our kilns were the heartbeat of the studio, running through hundreds of cycles to fuse, slump, and cast your visions.
[Number] Sheets of Glass: From iridescent textures to bold primaries, we brought in a record amount of sheet glass to keep the workbenches stocked.
[Number] Repairs & Restorations: We took pride in giving new life to family heirlooms and historical pieces, ensuring they remain part of your homes for years to come.
[Number] Custom Commissions: From architectural windows to personalized gifts, we loved collaborating on one-of-a-kind projects.
Classes
Our Glass in a Flash sessions remained our most popular way to introduce people to the medium. This year:
[Number] Students completed their first-ever stained glass suncatcher.
[Number] Beginner Workshops were hosted, covering everything from copper foil to kiln-forming.
New for 2025: We successfully launched [Name of New Class], which has quickly become a studio favorite.
Community & Connection
Stern Glass Works is more than just a place to make art; it’s a community hub.
[Number] Community Events: We were proud to participate in local favorites like What’s Blooming on Harrison and our own studio open houses.
A Sincere Thank You
Whether you joined us for a single 2-hour "Flash" class, trusted us with a delicate restoration, or are a regular face in our membership program—thank you. You are the reason our studio lights stay on and our kilns stay hot. We are grateful for your support and look forward to creating even more together in 2026.
