This year, our artisan market features an expanded selection of talented local makers showcasing unique, handcrafted goods—from exquisite glasswork, stunning ceramics and stylish jewlery to cozy textiles, mesmerizing paper/print and everything in between. Whether you’re searching for the perfect holiday gift or a special item for yourself, this market has something for everyone.
In addition to shopping, enjoy seasonal treats, an amazing raffle which 100% of the profits benefit the OPALGA+ Scholarship Fund, and engaging activities for all ages. From family-friendly crafts, face paint and more, to srumptious hot sips, there’s no shortage of festive fun.

This awesome 2 day event will be in both Stern Glass Works (817 S Oak Park Ave) as well as Carnival Grocery Store (824 S Oak Park Ave) in the middle of the charming South Town Oak Park Business District. The Winter Wonderland is a community event focused on supporting our local artisan community and our local non-profit OPALGA+ ‘s Scholarship Fund.
This year we are so excited to present to you a 2-day event in which each day offers you a different selection of artisans, materials, and more. We will share with you soon the participating artisans and which day they are coming… but which location they will be is kept secret! Make sure to check out both locations to find all the amazing goods and activities that we have gathered for you!

The Highlights
Raffle: Take a chance to win a curated basket of artisan products and/or Offers from Local Businesses. 100% of the profits from the raffle are donated to OPAGLA+ Scholarship Fund
Local Artisan Shopping: Shop from local artisans to find the most unique holiday presents. Its perfect timing, right before seeing family for thanksgiving!
Free Kids Activities : Face Paint, Balloons, Crafts, and more!
Seasonal Photo OP: Take adorable photos of your family with our cute and seasonal photo backdrop and props!
Hot Drinks: Sip on spiced cider or hot chocolate and enjoy a yummy bite as you enjoy the winter wonderland
Two Days- More Artisans: Two days of artisans means you’ll be sure to find the perfect holiday gifts, self-care treat, needed home decor or whatever else you might be looking for!
Parking/Walking Logistics
Free Street Parking: Side streets are free, but please make sure to check signs
Additionally S. Oak Park Ave. north of Van Buren Street is free 3 hour parking
Paid Parking: Metered parking on S. Oak Park Ave in front of both Stern Glass Works and Carnival Grocery
Oak Park Village Parking Lot Behind 5th Third Bank, the South Lot.
Public Transit: The blue line Oak Park Stop is directly at the end of our block
Pace Bus Stop at S. Oak Park Ave and Harrison
Accessibility: Both locations are handicap accessible with accessible bathrooms. There are no stairs in either location.
The OPALGA+ Scholarship Fund provides financial support for continuing education of local, Cook County Illinois, LGBTQIA+ students and allies who have demonstrated service and advocacy to the LGBTQIA+ community and/or the larger community.
Scholarships are $5,000 each paid directly to the college or program the receiving student plans to attend.
OPALGA+ recognizes that young people in the LGBTQIA+ community face unique challenges in high school, college, and trade school programs. OPALGA+ is committed to providing support for the next generation of activists and leaders who are self-identified members and/or allies of the LGBTQIA+ community from Oak Park and surrounding areas. Since 2014, we have awarded over $220,000 in scholarships.
